Membership

Want to become a General Member or Voting Member? It is easy.

To become a General Member, the Secretary of the Oak Hill NPCT must verify that you have attended two consecutive meetings and have eligibility qualifications per our By-Laws, Article II. If you are unsure of your membership status please contact the Secretary.

To become a Board Member you must be a General Member elected by qualified General Members. In addition, we strive to keep a balance of East Oak Hill and West Oak Hill. Since our board is made up of 16 members it is preferred to have 8 members from each representation. Our By-laws, however, require at least 2 members come from each representation providing a minimum of 4 for East Oak Hill and West Oak Hill. Also, our bylaws prevent more than one person from a neighborhood, subdivision or association from being on the board. However, there is an exception: if your neighborhood/association has 200 or more rooftops then your neighborhood may have 2 representatives. The following neighborhoods/associations have 200 or more rooftops:

Covered Bridge
Windmill Run
Travis Country West
Lantana Southwest
Scenic Brook West
Travis Country
Granada Hills/Estates
Legend Oaks
Western Oaks
Westcreek

In addition, apartment and condo complexs are considered a subdivision therefore each complex can have only one representation.

Prior to our elections the secretary must qualify you as a General Member. In other words, you cannot become a General Member if your second attendance is on the day of an election. Every year, 8 Board Member and 3 Officer positions will be up for re-election. Our first election was January 21, 2009. Our next election will be held sometime in September 22, 2010.
